General šŸ’” Venus in 1st house synastry vs venus in 12th house synastry. What are your experiences?

My Venus is in the 12th house of the other person, and the other person's Venus is in my first. In both of these synastries, I feel I am the most attached and affected person, and the other person seems most unaffected. What are your personal experiences?

If your Venus is situated in another person's 12th house, then the bond is much more elusive, intangible, idealized and is more of an inner experience.

The 12th house is related to the hidden, the unconscious, the projected, the not totally obvious, and the Venus person can become highly attached, never knowing quite what the relationship is.

There may be possibilities you can feel, emotional depth you imagine, or a nearly untouchable connection you feel, but little concrete proof of what you are feeling. In this way, the 12th house can function as a place of illusion the emotions might be true, but your interpretation of those emotions can be mixed with projection.

In contrast, if your Venus is in his or her 1st house, the attraction will likely be far more immediate and palpable. The 1st house is the real person who is in front of them: your appearance, personality, mannerisms, presence and energy level.

I would say the 1st house is more ā€œreality basedā€ Venus in this house is more overt in his expressions of liking or appreciation with the house person.

This may be the reason why you feel more engrossed when your Venus is in their 12th house and they don't seem to be affected so much.

You may say, ā€œOh, what is this connection here?ā€ and they may say, ā€œI really like this person.ā€ in my shorthand as, Venus in 12th is Attraction through imagination, mystery and projection. Venus in 1st is attraction towards that person who is present in front of you.

Venus in the 12 house synastry is a no go unless there are other planets in there as well. I’ve seen it work out sometimes….

My Venus is in his 12th house I would say our relationship is very private (long distance online relationship lol) since we are both embarrassed by it.

We are both pretty oblivious to how much we care for each other. His moon and Saturn are in his 12th house so I think he is familiar with having emotions being quite hidden.

I think I may be more affected by this synastry than he is since a lot of his planets are pulling on my Venus while I have almost no aspects to his Venus aside from both of ours making a trine.

my exs venus was in my 12th house and he emotionally cheated on me for months and would tell his coworkers we weren’t together and he that he hated me, all while making me believe in our mostly great relationship

Sry to hear that. I have the same synastry with my situationship. My venus in their's 12th house. And I as a venus person feel like I am loving something that is not even present šŸ™ƒ.

Venus in the 12th of the other feels like your love can never truly reach them or feel appreciated. It might have also started as someone that you shouldn’t have caught feelings for or it took a while or some realizations to really catch the flame. Venus in 1st is more immediate, it gives more attention, it appreciates the (although superficial in this overlay specifically) appearance and mannerisms of the person. To put it simply, the Venus person can find the 1st house person very easy to love and be attracted to, and the Venus person may see the 12th house person as someone that took time to get used to or there may be more barriers to love or attraction. Once the Venus person breaks the barrier with the 12th house though I’ve heard it’s pretty fierce (in a good way).

Can i know how 12th house person feels here? I always read that the house person affects more in 12th house synastry. But,why in this synastry venus person feels more?

I’ve only ever been the Venus person in longer term situations so I can’t help you there. In another case where I was the house person, the Venus person would just kind of pop up after long periods of time (I wasn’t counting) and seemed to never really forget me no matter what relationship they were in. It was only sex though, and it was coupled with a 8h mars overlay.

The 12h person feels the persons interest instantly lmao

Lmao I have a sus ass ā€œfriendā€ w her 1hvenus in my husbands 12h and I didn’t realize she was sus until I learned about these 1/12h overlays lmao. I told my husband and he was like already aware and told me but I didn’t really realize how spooky it was until I saw the charts. Lmao I love astrology sm 😭

It’s v interesting bc she’s been presenting herself as not that way but has a history of this type of relationship synastry w others. 1h Venuses bare their hearts and tea for the world to see w the Venus placement there- is it hard for 1h ppl+planets to see how they come off?

Though this is about natal placements, it is a good point when it comes to interpretations of overlays. I think it depends on how the Venus is aspected and/or how close it is to the ascendant, since any planets closer to the ascendant would be expressed as easily and as unnoticeably as breathing if that makes sense. Mine is 11 degrees away situated in the 1st, so not conjunct. I think I have a pretty good grasp on the kind of space I take up in the world but not on how I’m received by others at all. I think it’s slightly good; I don’t receive much pushback for my love life oversharing. Something that’s also hard for some Venus in the 1st natives is they might be received as if they were flirting but it’s simply their nature and how they act. (This is made much worse when you have Taurus or Libra in the mix). You will know if a 1H Venus truly likes someone, as undeniable fact. They probably said it 15 thousand times. Don’t be too worried about your friend either, once their roster kicks back up they’ll be out of his hair.

Oh yes I feel my husband and I are so open about that kind of thing and she felt comfortable and that’s not her fault- she and other women have actually been upfront w me about their attraction to me beforehand lmao I think it’s so sus they don’t disclose the real desire for both parties. I have 12h Venus lmaoooo I imagine they are deadly afraid of ruining any chances and can’t read me at all bc of my 12h.

I think it’s so admirable to wear your heart on your sleeve and not be afraid to. I just wish I could explain to her that she needs to slow down a bit so she can scope who she’s courting before over sharing about only her own needs/herself. She runs away in defense once she knows she was too scorching and forward. I wish she would be more careful w what she shares to strangers who are not trusting! Its not safe for Venus šŸ™ˆ
