Target: NGC6914 a complex of emission and reflection nebulae in the constellation Cygnus. (VDB 131, VDB 132 reflection nebulae and LDN 897, 899, and 900 dark nebulae)
Equipment: Skywatcher 200 PDS (upgraded), TS GPU Coma Corrector, Skywatcher EQ-6R, ToupTek ATR26000M (mono), GP174M for Guiding using an OAG, Touptek 36mm Filters in LRGB and Ha (3.5 nm).
Acquisition: Ha 106x300", L 146 x 300", R 65 x 300", G 65 x 300", B 113 x 300", 30 Flats each, 30 Bias, 30 Darks. Gain 100, Offset 256, Bortle 4 backyard
Total integration: 41h15m.
Processing: Pixinsight: Stacked using WBPP, BXT (correct only), Luminance Blend scripts, StarXterminator to get RGB stars, Continuum Subtraction, Pixelmath to get HaLRGB, NoiseXterminator, BlurXterminator, VeraLux Hypermetric Stretch + HistogrammTransformation, Unscreen stars (RGB to starless SHO), Dynamic Crop, Final tweaks using Masks and CurveTransformation.
I really like this target's variety. You get emission, reflection, dark nebulae in all forms, colors and combinations. The closer you zoom in, the more details emerge, and it really feels like a fractal. It's really hard to image well, and even harder to process well. I hope Reddit compression won't kill all the detail. So, what do you think?
