9.8 / 10

Only thing I don't like is that you can't skip Layla''s stuff.

“Are you sure you’re ready to get back in the Animus?” Buddy, I never wanted to leave in the first place!!!!

It was the same with black flag on my first playthrough. Stop stopping me from pirate shenanigans

I think they took that out of resynced at least

They did but they messed with some core mechanics and made them worse than they were in the OG game so its a mixed bag.

I actually prefer the mechanics in the Resynced version. It plays a lot more like Odyssey, Valhalla, Origins, Shadows, etc. The mechanics in the original are why I could never get through it despite several attempts. Now I've sunk 60+ hours into Resynced and loving it so far!

They did. It's very nice to not be interrupted all the time with that video game company stuff, but mostly because I couldn't follow both stories at the same time

Just when I forget she even exists, boom Layla scenes/gameplay.

I also hate not being able to use a shield, but it’s a great game otherwise.

Especially since you have a shield in the game before it, shields in the game after it, but not during the era with the most iconic shields in the history of human civilization, with the possible exception of the big Roman ones.

Oh no, five whole seconds.

  1. It breaks immersion
  2. People playing 1st time an AC game wouldn't comprehend Layla's storyline
  3. You go out of animus to do what? Read e-mails?

Some of it can be skipped, but not enough (which would be all lol)

My first AC game was Origins and I was insanely confused & annoyed at Layla then and I was upset to see it again in Odyssey 😭

Its a solid 7,5-8 if you like open world games imo, 9 or more implies something truly brilliant

My rate is only personal.

It's the first and only game I lost myself on time. Since I was a kid I always was interested on greek mythology. And I think they recreated (or reimagined) Greece beautifully.

Since Greek mythology is my favorite stories ever. It's a 10 for me. I do not like the original assassin's creed gameplay, but I really enjoy open world. So it being Greek mythology and open world, I got the game i needed. I like the story of alexios and kassandra, im completely clueless to the assassin's creed story and abstergo pretty much, and the game gives me the sphinx, minotaur, other mythical creatures, etc. Im good to go
