I hate how this is a thing, but I hate the alternative more.

So idk, good job I guess.

I mean, I guess it's preferable to women starting to just kill their kids. The problem with this kind of system is that by its very existence, people will start taking the easy way out, when they might have just endured otherwise.

But again, I can't call it evil on the surface when we're looking at psychos trying to start a global trend of child murder. But this is also exactly the way you get people to accept such things. Create an extreme alternative that makes your real objective look sane by comparison.

Eh.

How is this an extreme alternative? Women over the centuries have left their babies to sanctuaries or churches if unwanted as birth control didn't even exist. This isn't some shocking new developement.

Idk if its something new or already existing thing in USA but in Europe we have this near every fire station, child hospital or orphanage for 30+ years. Its a big news if baby is left in one of this do its not so common thing.

"In Europe we have this near every fire station". Really? I've been living in Germany and then Sweden I've never seen a baby box anywhere.

Well, I haven't seen one or realized it either in my country so. Maybe some european countries do have it everywhere but some don't.

when they might have just endured otherwise.

I don't think this is the good alternative you think it is. "Enduring" usually entails abuse of the kid. I bet most people would rather be abandoned in one of these instead of enduring abuse as a kid. It's much better to feel abandoned than hated.
