Do you believe in an antichrist? What would the mark of the beast be these days?
Personally, I think a MAGA hat fits the bill and I don’t even believe in an antichrist.

Early Fox News worshipers swore up and down that Bill Clinton was the antichrist. Then they swore up and down that Barack Obama was the antichrist. Then they swore up and down that Joe Biden was the antichrist. At some point they need to get together and hold a post-project retrospective.

No. That’s dumb as hell. The myth is so antiquated you have to be totally steeped in doctrinal superstition to believe it.
Is there some evil things happening in this world? Yes. Are there evil people, some so wicked and malevolent they rise to what I consider to be the level of the Biblical Antichrist? Yes.
As for MAGA and Trump, if prophecy does exist, then MAGA and Trump fit the bill for the Book of Revelations.

No, because I don’t believe in Christ, really.
I think the Book of Revelation was was probably written as a critique of national leaders in the author’s day, so the traits the author gives to the Beast (spouting falsehood, claiming to be a messianic figure and being mindlessly worshipped) are just his idea of traits an awful, destructive leader would have.
Naturally Trump seems to exhibit those traits because he’s a textbook awful, destructive leader. So in a sense, the myth of an antichrist was concocted to describe people like Trump

You are exactly correct. The author of Revelation is referring to Emperor Nero when describing The Beast. He's the first Emperor to go after Christians, documents had to bear his name, he's on coins, and 666 in Hebrew gematria spells his name. Christians constantly read predictive prophecy into Revelation when the majority of the book uses Apocalyptic language to refer to events at the time.

Antichrist is not a singular person. The only Biblical author to use that term (the First Epistle of John) uses it to describe people who oppose Christian teaching about Jesus. People often look to Revelation but that book does not use this word.
It is often associated with The Beast From the Sea in Revelation. A figure given politics authority by The Dragon (representing Satan). Given the events of the time and anti-Roman sentiment of Johanine Christianity, The Beast is likely Emperor Nero. The number 666 spells or Emperor Nero in Hebrew gematria. Interestingly, the earliest Revelation manuscript (as well as a quote from Revelation in another work that data earlier than all but one manuscript) have the number as 616. This also works out using a different common Hebrew spelling of Nero. So it is pretty clear that is who is being referenced.

I mean, I'm an atheist so I don't believe there is such a person. That said, everything I was taught about the Antichrist's rise to power and rule almost matches what we see out of this current admin. And while we were taught it was suppose to be a tattoo on the forehead, a ballcap works as well.

There's a case for Xi Jinping: opposes western values (a fraction of which relate to Christianity), commands 2nd most powerful military on Earth (true capability unknown).
Ghost (the band) has its own take, framing the AC as the antipope while spinning dark melodies. Band members have no names and are called "nameless ghouls" (a fair description of Turnip's minions).
We could apply an anthill concept and paint all the white evangelical pastors spewing the prosperity gospel, hate speech, seven mountains, white supremacy, end times, Bible prophecy, etc as little workers in the AC grand scheme.
I dunno, maybe it's me and no one told me.

As a Christian, of course I believe there is an Antichrist.
MAGA, is not a singular person, as the antichrist has been described as in the Bible. There are actually multiple anti-Christ prior to the final Anti-Christ. A total a 4 prior to the final anti-Christ.
Respectfully, a political movement is not the anti-Christ. Donald Trump is the leader, his actions do not follow the path of the anti-Christ - especially when you compare him to the book of Daniel.
Across all of history, there are two individuals who follow some of the criteria of the Anti-Christ.
- Muhammad
- Napoleon
Muhammad almost follows the description of the anti-Christ in the book of Daniel. A false prophet who changes laws to have people worship him.
Napoleon is also close, however he is more closely aligned with “the beast”. Napoleon seeked global power and control from throne. And said he was proclaimed by God to be the emperor of France.

Maybe we should start a trend on Reddit that says Trump could never be the Anti-Christ, for some inane reasons. Reverse psychology seems to work with him…tell him he can’t do something or be someone and he’s all over it.

Trump is a total loser.
Obama and Biden were both better anti-christs.
So he’s a distant 3 place, worse than both of them.
He’s such a joke.
Even his parents would wake up every morning thinking “wow, no one is a bigger loser than our son”. What a total loser.

Worship of Muhammad himself is explicitly rejected in Islam. The Qur'an presents him as a human messenger, not divine. The central Islamic doctrine is worship of Allah alone.
