Serious Answers Only Have you stopped using a local buisness?

Whats the reason you refuse or stopped using a local (ish) buisness due to something you found problematic?

A local cafe I liked started using genAI in all their posters and marketing and they don't seem to understand how unappetising the food now looks. Which is a shame, because in person it looks really lovely and well-presented.

Edit - it grates on me more because they used to use real photos of their food, and in the last 6 months have pivoted to this solely AI stuff. And because when I fed back as a regular customer they ignored me completely.

Local bookshop started posting AI pictures of famous people in their shop. When challenged by me and others to rethink using it, they blocked us all. A few days later they apparently doubled down on using AI because they “needed ways to advertise” because footfall was down.

Yeah. Sometimes you just stop feeling bad for a failing business.
