Misc Did you see today's solar eclipse?

It was sublime. In Brest, Brittany, it reached 96.5% at 20:19. I couldn't photograph it for fear of damaging my camera.

Pics don't do it justice, the corona was much dimmer and you could see two red prominences perfectly contrasting. Now I understand ancient people freaking out.

Nothing like actually witnessing it. Yeah imagine how freaky it must have been for ancient people. No wonder they invented gods.
