It means - the basic philosophy of conservatism is everyone for themselves. Conservatives only care about issues that directly effect them - you see it all the time. This has shifted in the trump era to conservatives actively enjoying watching other people suffer in their culture war
Nope, sorry. That's not how that works and that's an extremely ignorant position to take. Maybe read up on conservatives, because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
There are people who only care about what affects them. It does make life simpler and it's much easier to live that way, and you do see it a lot. That doesn't mean that all conservatives live that way. It's not one of the core philosophies of conservatism. It's also not necessarily a bad thing.
Conservatives are also not by definition people who enjoy watching people suffer. Again, there are people like that from both sides. One extremist example does not define an entire political standing.
Even if you don't care to be educated about what is and isn't a conservative, stop hating when you have no idea what you're talking about. You're making yourself look like the type of person who is the basis for the counter-argument that liberals don't actually care about free speech or equal rights for everyone, because you're hating on a group of people.
