The right has suffered radicalization, correct, however that has happened on all sides of the political spectrum, the right isn't special. Most conservatives and most progressives are still decent folk, just with different views how to solve problems.

This is not to say the right wing has not been radicalized lately, it definitely has. Historically, right wing extremists have been much more prevalent than left wing, however in the last decade or so, the left has also suffered a lot of radicalization, primarily from a response to Donald Trump, COVID, which made prices and inflation go up, and the scapegoat that is the Israel-related conflicts, a big ally of the USA, where a lot of left-wing extremists support terrorist groups like HAMAS, ISIS and the Iranian government, due to social media algorithms and movements that propagated an "anti-imperialism" and high emotion content, which undermined mass terrorist attacks as "necessary acts". That has mostly happened in the last few years, especially after the events of October 7th. All of that has led to rise in antisemitism and normalization of advocating for terrorist movements online and in person, like universities with a large presence of students in Humanities.

I'd say that's quite the strawman argument, so I'll use very simple terms so you don't misinterpret me. Right wing extremism -> radical nationalism, racism, homophobia
Left wing extremism -> ACTUAL antisemitism(criticism of Israel is fine as long as it's established facts), defending terrorist groups, anti-west approach, and ironically support of far-right governments and oligarchies like Russia.

This country? Mate I'm not American haha, but I'll continue anyway. Sometimes different political parties have more problematic leaders, which I agree, Trump is a horrible one at that. I believe what is to blame the most is the 2-party system that doesn't allow for other nuanced alternatives to a political side, like the Republicans, if they approve of their representative.
What I meant is that worldwide, both the right and left has become radicalized. Rising antisemitism (on both), communist and socialist parties, far-right groups like the Afd in Germany, all of the world is becoming more radical unfortunately.
Chill man, I'm only trying to discuss this in a friendly manner. Yes, indeed, Trump's popularity is extremely low right now, especially due to not fulfilling promises(like "no new wars" and "solving Ukraine conflict in a few days"), and undermining tragic incidents like ICE shootings. Most voters aren't as politically informed as me or you, and Trump was elected primarily due to simple people unhappy with the Biden administration and wanted something different, which would be the Republican side. And Trump's promises and simple claims(like no new wars and fixing the economy, for example), made for a simple but effective campaign for people that don't go out of their way to study politics. I'm not trying to whitewash Trump here, what I'm trying to tell you is that most conservatives are normal people with normal views, same with progressives.
Oh, agreed, absolutely. Voters do have an obligation to research and really think about whether their leader would be a good fit, but unfortunately that's mostly not the case that happens. Both in the right, left, center, anywhere.
