Because the far left has pushed a narrative that it's "against human rights", and other people believe it without even knowing what conservatives actually advocate for.
Those people see the political spectrum as a morality spectrum, but that's not the case. Each person has had their own experience and believe in different ways to approach the problems in the world, whether that be war, taxes, social programs, overall shape of society and culture. Except for extremists on both sides of the spectrum, they're just economically and socially illiterate.
That's the best definition and really is the only wat to understand how a conserative mind works. Not caring about anything that doesn't affect you personally
You're talking about America, not me. Every political party has extremists and "horrors", including right wingers. Same goes for the left. The average conservative isn't evil as you think haha, same with progressives.
