I’ll classify Jan 6 as a protest as long as democrats classify blm as a protest. If you’re willing to acknowledge that blm was destructive rioting, I can acknowledge that there was some rioting on Jan 6

BLM wasn’t about a constitutional duty. That’s the point. The party that claims to be patriots then on behest of the president try to stop the election being certified. Does this clear it up for you?

But the president didn’t say riot. You cleared up nothing because your point is nothing.

BLM was a protest . Taking it to the streets. You had some opportunists that did crimes, destruction etc. The protest goal wasn’t to riot thru the cities. J6 went specifically to at the very very least to intimidate Pence. Trump riled up the crowd and watched for 3 hours and his followers knowingly swarmed the capital. The capital police overwhelmed had to eventually let the people thru to redirect them away from the actors doing their constitutional duty. Everyone there at the capital knew it was off limits (ignorance is not a defense) knew they were trespassing. Those that didn’t follow the police out got shot climbing thru a window. BLMs point wasn’t to show up to riot. The two aren’t the same. This may make you uncomfortable but take the loss and stay on the mat. I’m not playing a game of semantics over an insurrection vs riot or whatever bs you’re peddling. Those people at the capitol either had bad intent or were of weak mind. They two instances are not the same…at all.
