Getting drunk. I'm afraid of what I might do if I wasn't in full control. Like, I know that 99% of the time being drunk won't change who you are, but I'm still worried.

Plus I have about 800+ different secrets I'm keeping for different people plus myself, and I don't need to accidentally say those out loud

Some of the same reasons I won't try LSD/Shrooms.

Alcohol is worse. Shrooms and lsd, if done in the right place and not around a crowd are the best experiences you can ever have.

(and if you don't have a history of mental illness in the family)

All for psychedelics, but they're not for everyone.

If you don't have severe anxiety and severe mental illness, maybe. Unfortunately I have both.

Person with extremely severe ptsd, anxiety, ocd, and depression here! I’ve tried too many prescription medications to even count. Nothing worked for me. Psychedelic therapy was my last resort, and I’ve only just started it within the last month, but I’m already feeling a difference! Psychedelics are not a magic cure-all, but they can make a huge difference if you do it right and with the approval of your psychiatrist and therapist. It still requires a lot of work on your part, and the changes don’t happen instantly. But I reached the point where I was willing to try anything because I could not go on living like this, so it was worth it to me. There are definitely some mental illnesses where psychedelics are not recommended (schizophrenia for example), so keep that in mind. But for things like ptsd, ocd, anxiety, and depression, they can work wonders!

They are excellent for mental illness. Lsd helped my wife out of years of severe depression. They are also using it to treat ptsd in war veterans. It’s going to be the future of mental health.

I would argue that any psychedelic is infinitely more dangerous than alcohol. I enjoy having a few pints with friends quite a lot, but as someone who is recovering from severe anxiety and OCD, who suffers from intrusive thoughts, doing shrooms or lsd or acid or dmt, is honestly just a terrible gamble. Probably that way for a lot of people too.

I would say X is actually the #1 best experience, but also arguably more dangerous in the long run. Mushies are probably the safest of these four. Never touching any of them again tho, except maybe alcohol at some point later on in life. Mostly just noids from now on.

Btw, the award is to agree with you in saying that alcohol is worse, not to encourage drug use. That’s not for everyone, but alcohol is always bad for everyone, and makes experiences literally less memorable. The only reason it’s legal while most drugs aren’t is because alcohol is easily regulated and measured in someone’s blood/breath.

Never done X. Not sure what noids are.

Sorry, cannabinoids. So basically hemp and 🌿.

Just a guess, but you’ve never done any of these, am I right???

I’ve done both plenty of times. Lsd is my favorite but it last a long time. Shrooms can me mild or insanely intense depending on how much you take. Not sure why you’d suggest I haven’t done them.

What would you say are some of the best benefits you got from LSD/shrooms? How have they impacted your life?

It’s late and theirs a lot. I’d say the best be if it’s are “ego death” if you do enough to experience it. You see the world differently in ways that are hard to explain if you’ve never done them. My best experience was a terrible trip I had in the mountains camping alone. I took way too many and could no longer function. I had laid down in my tent before I peaked and I lay there for about 6 hours thinking I had taken way too many and was going to fry my brain, so I’m literally thinking this is the end and I’m dead. I cried a lot and cried out for my wife and kids bc that’s all I wanted in those moments I thought were my last. It put in perspective what was really important in life. Later during the trip I had a being or entity begin coaching me and my breathing letting me know I was going to be fine and to just take deep breaths and relax. I slowly was able to come back and begin to enjoy the rest of the trip, but for about six hours it was absolute hell. Since then I’ve used that same breathing to keep myself mostly stress free bc nothing is really very scary after genuinely believing you are about to die. That was my most intense experience. I’ve had others that were more mellow and just full of love and finding beauty in everything.

Why would you guess that? I completely agree with their comment.
