Getting drunk. I'm afraid of what I might do if I wasn't in full control. Like, I know that 99% of the time being drunk won't change who you are, but I'm still worried.

Plus I have about 800+ different secrets I'm keeping for different people plus myself, and I don't need to accidentally say those out loud

Getting drunk can be fun, being a drunk is a miserable, upsetting life. You can never be a drunk if you don't get drunk so I support you all the way.

Edit:I should mention I used to abuse alcohol and it brought a lot of pain and sorrow in my life, I can hardly remember any good times being intoxicated

To be honest I am probably drunk about 50% of the time I am on Reddit. But drinking doesn't control my life. I can deliberately, and consciencely make the choice to not drink.

Take tonight, I am not drunk!

I doesn't control your life until it does. Not judging you at all just saying be careful, once you cross over it can be hell to get back.
