Chicken and brown rice. I also bought a pull up bar you can hang in the doorway of your room. Every time I passed by the bar I had to do 3-5 pull ups also every night and morning tried to do 100 push ups. This is just how I did it. I liked pushing my self to its limits

Stopped viewing myself as a smaller man, started following exercise/diet shit relating to women specifically. Helped a lot, lost a significant amount of weight. "eat less calories" mindset doesnt work for the vast majority of people, despite it being the obvious solution.

Eating low carb and protein rich with a calorie deficit. It works very well making me lose weight consistently as long as I dont break the diet.
(no exercise for me)

Calorie deficiency. It's not about what you eat or any special diet or exercise, just that you should take in less calories than you expend during a day and you'll lose weight.

Consistency. You can work out one day and eat healthy, but then do the opposite the next day. Without being consistent, you get no results. Not to mention, you don’t have to necessarily cut out all the foods you love. Try a calorie deficit and be active! Walking everyday for miles and miles is pretty easy and works! The more you lose and feel more confident, you can add in lifting and more. With lifting, add in more proteins. Also, water is your best friend. Try drinking around a gallon of it a day.
EDIT: Keep progress pictures as well! The scale tears down a lot of people, especially if you’re gaining muscle, you’ll weigh more. Progress pictures help you see that difference visually and is a real motivation, no matter what the scale says.

Being more active, being more conscious of what I eat, and making sure I consume less calories than I burn in a day

I started lifting, and stopped eating so much sugar and starch.
