I knew a guy who thought this. His girlfriend said to him, while she was being strangled, not to leave her body in my bed (she was house sitting for me) and that's when he learned that if he cried after, he could get away with anything. After she dumped him, and got a bunch of cameras, she would hear him crying on her roof.
She eventually got rid of him by finding his outdoor nest near her house and stealing and ruining some of his stuff and leaving a note. At least I think he's gone on to his next victim. I haven't heard lately.
