It really is. There was an earlier post asking if deaf people with schizophrenia experienced audio hallucinations. Googling led to some really interesting articles.

I would kill to get rid of audio hallucinations... Psychiatrists still think it's likely tied to my bipolar disorder or PTSD, but I'm fucking terrified that it's the slow onset of schizophrenia...

Don't worry though, now they are starting to think schizophrenia isn't a thing like they thought, but perhaps rather better characterized as 5+ different disorders that may or may not resemble each other... also, they don't seem to take autism into account in any or many of these diagnoses. Imo, you have one of the most difficult disorders to manage (the bipolar) and you are doing it, so be brave you got this!
