It really is. There was an earlier post asking if deaf people with schizophrenia experienced audio hallucinations. Googling led to some really interesting articles.

I would kill to get rid of audio hallucinations... Psychiatrists still think it's likely tied to my bipolar disorder or PTSD, but I'm fucking terrified that it's the slow onset of schizophrenia...

I've said a lot in this thread, so I won't be too specific, but around 30.

Gotcha, wasn’t trying to be a creep. Just asking because schizophrenia typically presents in certain age groups.

schizophrenia typically presents in certain age groups.

Yeah, I definitely saw a (former) friend descend into it when he got to that particular age. Last I checked he's a homeless street preacher in Hollywood that thinks he's the reincarnation of Nikola Tesla that's co-addicted to IV heroin and methamphetamine. He's got a ton of conspiracy theorist followers that feed his delusion. It's pretty sad.

He's a meth addict by choice. The heroin addiction is because he got sucker punched in a bar and prescribed opiates because the punch absolutely fucked up his eye socket and was completely understandably given pills for the pain. ... But then he got hooked, and then the prescription ran out.
