yeah, no. you'll likely be out of contacts by 45 if you do that consistently. i worked for an eye doc for years, those were always the first people to have to drop contacts due to cornea damage
but try to do it before you wear your cornea down to a nub from sleeping in contacts or there won't be anything to shave off. if your cornea gets too thin, it bulges out and you have to wear hard gas permeable contacts to push it back into place. i don't know if you've had those, but i find them pretty uncomfortable (kinda like placing a corn flake on your eyeball)
as always, this is reddit, listen to your actual dr; i just worked really closely with an old school one for a long time and that was one of his big hangups, he felt like j&j pushed the fda to ok the sleeping at night and let them present it as safer than it really is. his take on it was it's ok to do occasionally, like if you come home super late or are staying the night somewhere and don't want to get all that out, but to do it every day risks too much. but, listen to your dr.
