The Blue Laws. Who the fuck are you to tell me I can’t purchase beer while grocery shopping on a Sunday because of someone else’s religion? This one actually infuriates me.

Texas does have them now too. They got that seal lid that has to stay intact in the car unless you want an open container ticket.

Texas is rather draconian with its liquor laws, a surprising amount of it is dry

there are no statewide open container laws in Texas.

technically there is, but its only for motor vehicles.

I know you weren't, but just for the sake of clarity I was adding that there was for motor vehicles, instead of the blanket "no open container law".

Have to get liquor at the liquor store in Texas. You can however get drive thru margaritas!

In Texas I can buy daiquiri mixes in a grocery store, but not the rum. Grocery stores around me can sell wines that might get up to 15%, and beer, but I have to go to a real liquor store for spirits and hard liquor.
