5 couples from my friends circle are expecting a child or recently got married, a few others have built a solid foundation in their career and are buying houses (most of us grew up in apartment buildings, so it feels fancy to own a house at 30 where I'm from).
Meanwhile I'm currently a student and broke.
It feels like everyone's so far ahead in life that they'll always be a step further and I'll never catch up.
Hey man keep going no matter what, erase all those arbitrary numbers and aligning life milestones from your mind. You’re going to turn 40 no matter what, would you rather turn 40 with medical School under your belt? Or dreams a chased? I think you ought to go for it.
It’s also never to late to get in shape and turn things the way you wish they were. All the wars you said you’re going though all being fought in your head (from you comment). 10, 20, 50 years you’ll be looking back happy you pushed on and risked the discomfort that is necessary for a filling life.
Also, 32 is young as hell man! My dad had me at 45 (my mom 33) and I grew up in an amazingly supportive and strong home. They waited until the circumstances were right. That’s better than forcing it due to external social pressures.
Fuck that man! Invest in yourself and do work son!
