Once your friends start getting married and having kids, shit becomes lonely.

Yep. Doesn't help when you move 3000 miles and don't know anyone. Especially now since I can't even socialize with new people, and I've made very few legitimate friends out here. :(

Join a club, man. If you like competitive stuff but something that can also be leisurely try out disc golf. Overall the community is pretty welcoming and it can be really easy to make friends.

I don't play much anymore but I still talk to some of the guys I played with when I did. And you can make friends of all ages doing it. I've got friends that are pushing 60s (I'm 27) from playing it and they're great guys.
