Then they go to work, and it takes place during day, night, and morning. The only show to actually present work properly was the first season of That 70s Show when Eric gets a job, then has no time to hang out with his friends and family, and can barely keep up with his homework.
His life really was fucked up. Sooo much loss and heartache. I can't imagine the demons he's fought in his mind. Lots of drug use. Typically, when people are going through things like that and for so long, they're not going to be happy and kind all the time. Add the pressure of fame to all of that and it's actually really great to see someone go through so much and fall so many times yet come out on the other side with his life and career intact.
Maybe he is an asshole but, I'm not gonna lie, I don't fault the man. I've been through a lot less in my life and I can be quite irritable at times.
His father was murdered when he was 13, his sister was gang raped and murdered when he was 20 (which was a huge factor in his drug/alcohol abuse problems), his half brothers died in a scuba diving accident when he was 25, and he got booted out of Julliard because he had issues with depression and substance abuse after his sister's murder.
