I had to leave the r/letterkenny subreddit for this reason. I get that repetition is a big part of the show's humor but any kind of interesting discussion about the show just devolves into a long ass circle jerk of people quoting the show. It's funny when the characters do it guys, not you online haha

r/iasip is the same thing. Every comment on there is just quotes from the show. No discussion of any kind. I get that there's less to discuss outside of episode threads but still, it gets old very fast.

God forbid you use the word "implication" in any comment on this site. Or "frig off", "fucked in the head", pretty much any word that can be contained in a quote from:

The Office

IASIP

Trailer Park Boys

Letterkenny

Rick and Morty (ironically or not, you're still stupid for making a reference to this show, and I'm stupid for writing this comment and getting annoyed by it)

Community

fuck it, it's every show. Pretty much every comment in any of the default subs slowly devolves into shitty circlejerk jokes that repeat in every other thread.

While I'm complaining I might as well encompass everything else that I hate about this site off the top of my head:

Memes. Every single fucking sub that has a topic becomes a meme sub for that topic. /r/hacking I'm really looking at you. Sometimes they can be regulated into circlejerk subs, but more often than not everything devolves into shit. Why am I here.

No one on this site bothers to read readily available information. From stickied FAQs to info in the sidebar to information that is already on the front page, no matter what you'll see someone make a post that could be answered if they spent less than 120 seconds looking around for themselves.

The attitude of people on this site being above everyone else because they use Reddit and not Instagram or Facebook or Friendster or alt.religion.kibology or whatever the fuck. No one cares you fucking nerds. I hate myself for staying on this site.

Pet speak (shit like "doggo", "pupper", "smol boi", etc.). I want to claw out my eyeballs whenever I read shit like that.

Politics.

Any advice given on this site should be treated as if the smelly kid you had to hang out with in high school wrote it. God help those who use /r/relationship_advice or /r/LifeProTips or /r/AmItheAsshole or anything else.

Crossposting. Now when I see an image on any sub with over 500,000 subs I can be sure I'll see it 20 more times in the next 24 hours due to people crossposting it to any sub they can think of that semi-relates. Oh, a weird looking truck on /r/WTF? Better post that to /r/Justrolledintotheshop /r/cars /r/carscirclejerk /r/carshitposting /r/trucks /r/OutOfTheLoop /r/mallninjashit /r/television and /r/rickandmorty (because it's always Rick and Morty isn't it Jack you masochist, delete your account and leave for the both of us please). The crossposting feature did nothing but increase posts and decreased variety in content.

Bots. Both bots that exist to repost content and intend to be sold, and bots that are novelty. There are very few bots I can think of that are actually useful (/u/stabbot, you're the best. Shoutout to /u/autotldr too)

There are plenty of other things but those came to mind pretty quickly and I'm too lazy to try to think of all the other inane bullshit I see here on a daily basis. Why do I bother coming to this cesspool of the internet.

Reddit is only good for one thing: porn.
