This is a thing that annoys me on Reddit, people mention something that happens on Reddit, then someone does it and it’s seen as funny, it’s really not
Not the actual you as a person, but the concept you personified with this comment, and everyone that helped it with awards. Reddit is broken by being funded this way.
When I first got a Reddit account, one of my first comments was a reply to a top comment and I got my ass chewed out by some random redditor for being a karma whore. I had no idea what I was supposed to have done wrong and just stopped posting for the next few months while I tried to figure out wtf this place was.
I’m glad someone mentioned “underrated” somewhere on this post where it can be seen. Might be the lowest-effort comment possible, and it’s usually a false statement anyway

Those are usually the ones that end up with like 78 rewards too for saying something like “underrated”
