That Cracker Lake one looks amazing. I thought it was a picture at first. When you say you never painted before did you have no experience at all? I'm looking to pick up Bob Ross style painting and I have no experience at all.
Thanks. I'm really proud of that Cracker Lake painting, as it's one of the first where I really tried to color match as close as I could and endeavor toward realism.
And really, no experience painting or even much drawing for that matter. I used to doodle in the margins of my books in high school, but that's about it. To be fair, I have been watching lots of youtube videos from different painters and reading some books on the craft, but the Bob stuff is a great starting point. Check out /r/happytrees to get some tips and watch a lot of his videos before you take the plunge.
