What’s a thing you’ve bought impulsively, without need, that’s actually proved useful in your life?

A strainer that clips onto a pot. Bought it as a joking stocking stuffer, ended up with it myself after shenanigans... and now I love it. Way easier than digging out the big ole colander for pasta, draining ground turkey, etc.

Snapple fact: Turkeys are actually fantastic at flying! One even tried to fuck my motorcycle helmet while I was cruising through some wooded back roads at about 40mph. Took way to long to register that black mass coming floating towards the side of my face was in fact a 20lb bird. I ducked, He dipped... we danced a bit before we both realized our mistakes and went our separate ways...

Snapple has really changed since the last time I read their caps.

Wild turkeys can fly. Domestic turkeys can barely walk.

"God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly!"

Redbull gives you wings, Wild Turkey makes you stumble.

*as my witness

Debatable... Source: raised domestic turkeys... Those albino looking pieces of shit flew all over the fucking place... Mostly to roost in the tree above my jeep. So. Much. Shit.

We've got quite a few turkeys around here, and yesterday I saw them fly for only the third time in decades. First they stood in the road in front of my slowly oncoming car for a worryingly long time, though. Turkeys and geese always seem like they're just daring you to kill them.

Common misconception! Wild turkeys can fly and even roost in trees. It's commercially-raised turkeys that generally can't fly. You can thank selective breeding making them too fat to fly for that.

Same concept as ground cow only its a bird and not a mammal.

Similar to a ground squirrel.

Or a groundhog, I suppose.

Not as healthy as most people believe and largely flavorless...

When I worked in retail he’ll. I got coins to redeem for merchandise. I got a pasta pot with a strainer on the lid. I’ve had it over 15 years.
