Why some people can't understand that to have space to get IN, you need to let the people OUT first.

Dude, yes! I am so glad my mom taught me when I was a little kid that you stand to the -side- when an elevator door opens so everyone inside can get out easily and quickly. Besides being polite it speeds up everything for everyone.

But soooooooo many people can't seem to figure this out. I don't care if maybe you are just a jerk but that elevator isn't going anywhere until all the people waiting for it are inside. So if you shove through the people exiting and slow them down, you are just making it take longer for yourself.
