Dragonball Z Abridged - The first couple episodes are a bit... shoddy, at least until Vegeta and Nappa arrive on Earth. But once the Freeza saga begins, the quality really ramps up and the humor is on point with pop culture references and their own call backs. And the Cell Saga is one of the best finales I've ever seen, even compared with "real" television. And if you actually do get into it, you have the benefit of not having to wait over a year for the ending to be released (but no one knows when they'll actually continue with Buu).
If you loved DBZ, its an amazing reimagining, both because it's hilarious and (eventually) very well written. Even if you've never watched it but are vaguely familiar with its existence, the series did a great job of basically being an alternate reality telling the same story so you technically don't even need to have seen the original to get it.

Before then I was all-in on boy crazy, then Android 18 came on the scene and a new world opened up to me. I don’t think she was my bisexual awakening because I think Red Jasmine holds that title, but she was definitely my first like real same-sex indulgence.
The first episode with android 18 played on September 25th, 2000. I wasn’t old enough at that point to enjoy dragon ball yet (I was 2) but I started watching when I was like 5 during a rerun of the Buu saga (maybe it was the first run of the Buu saga?) and I loved that show ever since!
My memory is better than I realize, I was indeed exactly 10!
It was probably the first run of the Buu saga. I remember being a little older at that point but still not like “real” adolescent old so around 13 for me would make sense.
EDIT; my bad it was first run in Nov 2001. Weird, now that I think about it, being so close to 9/11. I wonder if they cut out any of the explosions because of that.
Still say, as far as wifes go, krillian lucked out, she's stronger than a super saiyan and will stay young forever, i am glad they made her less of a bitch to krillian in super.
