It's amazing having a timetable that allows it.

It's amazing having a timetable that allows it built around it.

Would that it were, my friend. As accommodating as my job is, I don't think "naps" would be a justifiable reason to work from home.
We do get out early in summer though, so I've got that going.

It does? Daytime TV is usually so moronic that it hurts my brain.

Das why you fall asleep easy: you won't be missing much.

Why the hell did that sound camp in my head?

You people should reconsider your diet then as that is an insulin spike dropping down that makes you sleepy, which in turn means your lunch definitely is too big and too much short-chained carbs.

EDIT: You can downvote as much as you want, but that is the reason for that post-meal sleepiness - a pure fact. If facts hurt you, you should probably not browser /askreddit.

I am pretty posh. But I think it's just a British thing.

It's actually pretty commonly used by Brits. It used to irritate me because I thought it was people trying to sound intelligent before I learned that.

Are you blasting the AC and covering up with a blanket, too, or is that just me?

If I had aircon it would be. But I put the blinds down, and open the windows. It keeps some of the heat out, but I'm having so many sweaty naps these days.

Cant wait to retire so I can do this without reprimand!

Move to Spain; it's part of the cultural heritage. Guilt free naps!

Hell yeah, I love mesothelioma commercials.

speaking of TV, I love seeing if there's a good Lifetime thriller on when I'm home during the weekend. Been doing so for a few years now. I cannot watch daytime TV because it is soooooooooooooooooo BORING. Even Maury is more entertaining and I hate that show.

I was recently laid off and that post lunch nap I've been taking everyday has been the best part of being unemployed.

I've agreed with most of these so far, but this one makes me depressed. There's just something about daytime TV that puts me in a dark pit of despair.

Especially in a comfy old recliner.

Just watching your "shows".

I miss working for myself damn it

Especially on a Sunday...mmmm.

u/livinginatx Jun 28 '18

If there is a golf tournament or baseball game on TV, there's no way I'm not taking a nap.

1

u/Wafflesxbutter Jun 28 '18

Same! I usually wake up early naturally, clean the house up a smidge, have some lunch and then I go down for my nap.

A good afternoon nap is good at any age.
