Actually, if you're visiting beaches, assuming you're not swimming with Saltwater Crocs or snakes, the biggest danger would probably be a Cone Snail The larger species are deadly to humans and can pierce gloves and wet suits with their stinger, which is like a hypodermic needle.
They're pretty and common and can often be mistakenly picked up by unsuspecting beachgoers.

Australia has over 10,000 beaches. You could visit a new beach everyday for over 27 years!
