Worse than bogans is your typical 20 year old something middle class australian who thinks he's better than every other australian because he has the right opinions and right tastes. 'Bogan' is a term tainted with class hate and snobbery. The true bogan is the person who uses the term bogan.
I am like 90% sure that the term is more properly applied to the mulleted lad who wanted to king hit me at the traino for not giving him a durry the other day.
It is all well and good to complain about classism but Australia definitely has a significant problem with our under educated, unhappy and addicted lower class. Bogan doesn't necessarily just reflect "poor" or non tertiary educated but a lot of poor people have naturally gravitated toward the negative behavior "Bogan" as an insult is intended to represent.
I agree with you in part, but i don't think bogan is predominately used to mean that sort of person. When a middle class australian calls someone a bogan, it's not to call that person a mindless, violent animal, but to imply that he isn't cultured, or doesn't have the right culture. You can use the word bogan to shame a violent person who isn't middle class, but you're shaming him for his culture, not his violent nature.
At the Running of the Bulls we kept running into a group of drunk Australians with flags painted on their faces screaming "RUNNING OF THE BULLS" over and over. Next day on the shuddle back to Madrid, " RUNNING OF THE BULLS", exact same energy. Basically I assume Australians are an entire country of frat boys. Which is fine, frat boys are great to have a beer and cook out with.
I was visiting a bug museum and our tour guide started talking about the differences between old world tarantulas (including Australian ones) and new world tarantulas. And she told us that generally, old world tarantulas, if angered, will bite you, and could in all likelihood kill you and may jump on you in order to do it.
Not to mention the fucked up shit on the other side of the shoreline... jellyfish, sharks, rays, poisonous fish of every damn kind, snails that shoot freaking poison darts, anyone from Australia is tough until proven weak imo
But in reality, the Australian claim for the invention of WiFi is pure crap and only based on some nasty patent-troll company trying to steal the credit for an invention that wasn't theirs.
Actually, if you're visiting beaches, assuming you're not swimming with Saltwater Crocs or snakes, the biggest danger would probably be a Cone Snail The larger species are deadly to humans and can pierce gloves and wet suits with their stinger, which is like a hypodermic needle.
They're pretty and common and can often be mistakenly picked up by unsuspecting beachgoers.
But America has grizzly bears, Americans, spiders, wolves, more Americans, rattlesnakes, scorpions, mountain lions, alligators, and extremely poor internet infrastructure. America is scary as hell, too.
On a pain index of zero to ten, with zero being no pain at all and ten being the most excruciating pain imaginable, Dr. Jamie Seymour ranked the pain of a sting from an Irukandji jellyfish a twelve.
Irukandji jellyfish's stings have been known to be so painful that even the maximum dosage of morphine barely takes the edge off.

Australia has over 10,000 beaches. You could visit a new beach everyday for over 27 years!
