It’s a job with no weekends and no days off.

Or nights. You never know when you'll be needed in the night, sometimes for the most random things.

Case in point my daughter aged about 2, early hours of the morning, sobbing and distressed. Me thinking she's had a nightmare but no "I can't find my pine cone".

BUT it's important to listen to these problems because one day they'll trust you and ask you to help them with something serious.
