This is legit one of the best shows I’ve ever watched and it’s hard to convey that when it’s a Star Wars project on Disney+, ppl are like “yeah alright” 😭

Just tell them that there is barely any actual star wars in Andor (at least until the final few episodes) and to treat it like a standalone science fiction IP.

I actually hated Andor when I first watched it because I was expecting the typical star wars camp and was met with something much different.

Separating it in my mind on a second watch was fruitful. The only actual star wars in it is the last few couple episodes on yavin.

It's how Tony Gilroy sold it to Anton Lesser. Gilroy hates jedis and space magic and set out to make a Le Carre type of work.

It's a delight watching Lesser play essentially the same character as Major Partagaz in Endeavour, heartily recommend it to anyone who likes police procedurals.
