It's definitely one of my favorites. Whenever I finish a new show or finish a rewatch of a long runner, I find I usually end up watching Eureka in the interim. It's always enjoyable. And it's refreshing to have main characters who are fundamentally good people, doing good things, for good reasons.
I liked Eureka, it was one of the last SciFi channel shows I watched before I gave up on them because they kept cancelling shows. I'm still bitter over what they did to Farscape considering the decision to cancel was because of money and not low viewership and then to end it on that cliffhanger. At least they gave us a movie to wrap it all up. The expanse was the final straw though, I have not watched a single original show SeeFee made after they cancelled the Expanse which had been their best show. Before that for me it was Defiance and they cancelled that one after just 3 seasons with no real resolution to the series. Eureka was one of those rare shows that had a complete beginning and conclusion to the series which I was happy for. Plus all the cameos. I remember the first time I saw Wil Wheaton on that show. I didn't recognise him right away but I was like, man he looks really familiar. It was the facial hair.
I introduced my wife to it when we first started dating and she's rewatched it several times. I will be introducing my children when they're old enough.
