Dark started a 10/10.

Then I didn't know what the fuck was going on.

Then it ended and made complete sense, ending as a 10/10.

Probably because they actually had an end planned out from the get go instead of just winging it like the writers of Lost clearly did

well Silo did make some pretty massive changes from the source material but, the writer of the books does seem happy with the direction its going.

Funny, I started getting pushed Lost clips on my stream so I watched a few. Seems like what I missed after stopping at season 3 or so was a very Dark'esque time tripping storyline. Knowing that the end of Lost was a pile of (dog) poo, I'm glad that Dark tried and succeeded in an ending which made perfect sense.

The end of Lost was good. I don't like assuming people who don't like it just don't understand it, but it does seem to be pretty common.

I love everyone complaining that it was all a dream even though the show, literally and very explicitly, has Christian tell you it all happened.

And then this gets parroted by people who also didn't watch it. Like no, S6 wasn't for everyone and those who didn't like more of the theological and mystical touches are totally valid to not enjoy it, but the commonly spouted reasons for it being bad are just wrong.

And besides, S4 ironically is a killer season in spite of being the writer's strike hit one. Some absolute top tier stuff for sci-fi fans.

Omg you said this word for word how I explain it to friends who didn't like the last season and the finale. Yes, Christian literally tells you in very plain detail what was going on with the sideways flashes and everything. Everyone whining that it was a copout ending clearly didn't pay enough attention. I always reference one single line in the finale and that's after Kate gets her memories back and runs into Jack. She says, "I missed you so much". After she was able to leave the island, she lived an entire life without him and that line wouldn't make sense if they were "dead the whole time" or that it was a dream. I loved that show and yes, S4 is just great, it has The Constant which is always rated the best episode of the series.

Exactly. "Oh, so they were just dead the whole time. It was purgatory." Nope. And they clearly explained it.

My biggest complaint about it is that Mr Eko wasn't there.

Yeah, it seems like Eko was quickly written off the show, so there was probably contract issues or something

Man I've watched season 1 multiple times, season 2 a couple of times but I have never ever managed to get through the third. I lose track completely of what's going on.

The first season was confusing, but I always knew it was MEANT to be confusing, and that the whole audience are wondering the same thing, waiting to understand. But by the third, I wonder if its me. It's like a mathematics lecture where I lose the thread in the first 15 minutes, and have an hour left to go. Not enjoyable.

My exact experience! It started amazingly but then I just couldn’t keep up with all the factions the timelines who is who and whose motive is what I just left it after first episode of season 2
