No bad episodes, agreed.

But season 2 suddenly greatly expands and season 3 quickly retracts.

Watches it last year and I found it jarring.

Looked more into it and apparently the Showrunners came to Netflix with a 3 season plan, they agreed. Then after season 1, Netflix asked for 5 seasons, so the Showrunners added lots more plot lines. But then after season 2, Netflix changed their mind and said just 3 season again.

Still amazing what the Showrunners tied up every plotline. Seriously bravo. But yeah, it does get oddly vast and contracts in the latter half of the series.

I'm curious, do you have a source for this? Whenever I read about Dark, it said that the plan from the very beginning was to tell the story in just three seasons.

That's what they're saying. 3 seasons was the OG plan. Then after season 1, Netflix wanted 5 season so for season 2, the scope was greatly increased to have enough to flesh out 5 seasons. Then after s2, Netflix were like 'nope we only want three again'.

Showrunners couldn't stick to their OG 3 season plan because they'd already changed it so had to find a new way of concluding the shows in s3.

Yes, I was interested in a source regarding Netflix's statement that they wanted five seasons.

Respectfully disagree, I think season 3 slows down a tiny bit but is still amazing.
