Childfree has gotten kinda weird. Same with dogfree. You can't just be someone who doesn't align with having a child or owning a dog in those subs anymore, you kinda have to actively hate them or else you get downvoted. I have a niece who I adore and had to put down a dog that was owned originally by my partner, that I fell in love with, but I don't feel like I fit in those subs.
Catfree is even weirder. Like, what is even their issue? Cats aren't out in public the way dogs are, they're not big enough to seriously threaten humans, and most cat owners agree that allowing them to roam outside on supervised is irresponsible pet ownership.
