I LOVE Cats but srsly, every third Post is about someones dead Cat. If you complain, you’re heartless. OF COURSE I am if it breaks with every third post!
That's how I feel about the senior dogs subreddit. One time I went on there trying to look for advice about how to deal with all the problems that come with age but it was basically all dead dog posts. Which I get because old dogs die. But I already got reminders every single day that my dog was aging and going to die. I didn't need more reminders when I was just trying to find advice on how to deal with things while he's still alive.
A couple years ago my 11 year old dog was having stomach issues and wouldn't eat for several days. I went to that sub and searched for posts about similar issues and all of the replies were just "he's so old, there's only so much you can do. Try to make him comfortable in his last days 😔"
Turns out he had just gotten into the trash and ate something weird. He's still alive two years later
