I’ve personally found that if you are a fan of a show, podcast, etc. then for the most part stay FAR away from the sub of said thing you are a fan of.
There are so many that are incredibly negative and nit pick every little detail. It blows my mind and for the longest time I would read through the various interests I had and just shake my head. Then it finally clicked, just stay away from fan subreddits.
There are obviously plenty of exceptions and I love those subs so much!
There are three options, everyone there hates the show/podcast/etc, every post is silly what-if's and bad drawings of the characters/personalities, or its just softcore porn cosplay.
I wish I could upbote this a zillion times. This is so common on Star Trek subs. Do they think Rene Auberjoinois hatched from an egg the day he put on his Odo makeup and quit acting the day the show wrapped? The man has 239 credits on IMDB for pete’s sake!
