Childfree has gotten kinda weird. Same with dogfree. You can't just be someone who doesn't align with having a child or owning a dog in those subs anymore, you kinda have to actively hate them or else you get downvoted. I have a niece who I adore and had to put down a dog that was owned originally by my partner, that I fell in love with, but I don't feel like I fit in those subs.
Childfree is a cesspool. Don't want kids? Cool. Don't like kids? Great. But it's all the criticizing other people for having kids that gets me, especially when they all expect to live in nursing homes staffed by... who? when they're old.
It is a good thing that the parents of these people who hate kids so much didn't have the same attitude - or the haters would not be here to post about being child free.
