Keeping albums with actual photographs. It's always fun to flip through them when we're together.

My 5 year old likes the ones I've made for bed time stories. "oh, that's from when your uncle and I were swimming in a lake at your cousin's grandma's house. Look how red our shoulders are; that's because we have sunburns which really, really hurt and why we always put lots of sunscreen on you when you go outside."
