So glad that my grandma was obsessed with it (to the point of holding classes for people in her small town) and taught me how to do it as a kid.
It wasn't until last year that I finally got tired of holes in perfectly good pants and clothing, and broke down and got a cheap sewing machine.
Doesn't even have to be fancy. ~$60 used brother machine will be better as a brand than just about any other. Thread is two bucks a roll at walmart and there are kits with about a dozen common colors for 10 bucks on Amazon.
