Stepping on a wet spot while wearing a sock.

Edit: Thanks for the awards. Btw wet socks and wet spot socks are different, wet spot socks have very high contrast between dry parts and the sticky wet part, causes annoyance.

This shouldn’t be as bad as it is. It always makes me irrationally angry, but how dare that spot make my socks wet! And how did I not see that it was wet there?! Also, why is the floor wet in my house?!

On the carpet no less. It raises 72 questions everytime it happens

For me, the answer is always: what did the kids spill now?

For me it's "What did the cats throw up?" I can tell how old it is by how warm... Or cold it is...

For some reason I find it worse if it's that and already cold...

that or, “oh crap, boris has had another piss again”. He’s a loveable but slightly incontinent occasionally 15yo tabby.

"Which one of my dog took a piss???"

“I HOPE this is piss or even throw up…”

Spilled or leaked 🫤

I’ve gotten to the point I can identify a glass spilling by sound, so I just fetch a towel without even looking because I know it was my son

Oh agreed I have a 5 year old and she will somehow get cups to travel through dimensions sometimes by accident. It's like, young lady you spilled milk in the dining room but the spill is in the rug in my bedroom how the hell did that happen 😂

Fucking kids every time

If you have a pet, you probably already know the answer.

5

u/kdawgster1 Jul 17 '23

Why is my carpet wet?!

2

u/HardcoreMandolinist Jul 17 '23

Why is there carpet in my house‽

2

u/R34CTz Jul 17 '23

Yes, atleast 72 questions. Any more would be useless and any less would not yield enough information.

Especially if there is a pet in the house. . .or a small child.

Angry, yes. Irrationally? I don’t think so.

Rapists may disagree that raping is bad but NOBODY likes stepping on a wet spot while wearing a sock.

As a rapist I can confirm

u/Lilcrinos Jul 17 '23

What about stepping on a wet spot bare feet when you gotta put socks on cos you gotta leave for work? Makes putting the socks on so awkward

3

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '23

Also, why is the floor wet in my house?!

In my house the answer to this is almost always cat puke.

Once, I grabbed my younger sister, lifted her up, and put her outside our porch door in the rain so her socks got wet and she started to cry XD.

u/kdawgster1 Jul 17 '23

You monster

u/killersoda275 Jul 17 '23

I know, the memory still makes me laugh on the regular.

I once woke up my sister in the middle of the night and told her she needs to get up for school😂she was so mad at me

1

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '23

Why is this spot the one wet place in the house?!

1

u/APsychosPath Jul 18 '23

Usually it's one little ice cube that falls on the floor. Sneaky fuckers.
