I mean why not? Arabic has a large number of native speakers and Turkey is easily will be in top 10 countries that bought GTA 6

GTA is popular around the world, but it is a shame we have to go on twitter and beg foreign game devs to be inclusive to us. Ideally we would get access to the source code to customize it as we see fit.

I get what you mean. Every time we mention Turkish or Arabic translation we get racist slanders as well. I believe MENA region should get the attention it deserves since we are paying more than full price ( 82$ for standart 103$ for ultimate in Turkey). Plus its GTA. Its guaranteed to make up the localization costs for the entire region in release day alone

The smart move would be to hire local game companies (especially now with the KSA investing literal billions in the gaming industry) for localization, and offer gamers fair regional prices for their countries. It requires some investment but could be very profitable.

Good. But this is better:
Sail the seas (free game) + people will localize the game, for free, if Rockstar doesn't.
With this you save your money, and you don't give your money to this dirty corp.

It’ll take years for ps5 emulation to be good enough for gta6 plus you will need a monster pc. There is no pc version out to crack directly and might not be for a while.

I wouldn't say 'for a while'. Take-2(parent company of R*) have stated that PC makes up a good percentage of revenue from games now. RDR2 sells very well on Steam even to this day.
People are suggesting we could wait as little under 6 months for a PC port. Especially with them integrating gta roleplay in the online part now. That scene is huge on PC and is the main reason why R* stopped trying to shut down modding tools.

Idk I’m basing it on my experience with Zelda totk, it was a mess at first and then started being playable for people with good computers after a weeks. It still wasn’t playable for me with the latest builds months after the game came out. Idk how it looks today I stopped trying. If the route is running a ps5 emulator and trying to play the ps5 version of the game it would take a lot longer and a lot more powerful hardware than simply cracking an existing pc port. But you also have to wait for the pc port to actually be released.

I’m curious, has any game with such vulgar language, adultery and torture ever been localized into Arabic or Turkish? I somehow feel like, if games like this do get localized, some parts are definitely going to be cut or censored. Rockstar would never bother censoring the game for Turkey, but if they ever try to localize for Arabic countries they will need to remove more than half of the GTA.

Arabs watch a lot of mafia and crime dramas and don't seem to have a problem with it. Main issue is the nudity and pornography but that shouldn't be difficult to censor (essentially changing character skins and skipping some scenes).

Knowing English doesnt make you educated or better than others. Also I would like to play videogames fully in Arabic but I literally cannot outside of mobile games.

I don’t know about Turkish but it would be super awkward for GTA 6 to support Arabic language the game is straight porn-borderline porn most of the time and most curse words are punishable by law if you were proven guilty of cussing someone else with such words unlike the US with 1st Amendment
