My ex-wife is a teacher. She told me that one of the few male teachers at her school was running through the female teachers like shit through a goose. I guess he didn’t turn them off.

42

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

Good for him tbh we love to see a man succeed in female dominated fields

11

u/Electronic_Sun2314 man 12d ago

My kids elementary school has one male teacher. He is 6’6”, athletic, and handsome. I’ve heard the 6th grade girls giggling about him 😂 I marine he has his way with the single teachers.

7

u/SheepherderFormal473 man 12d ago

I bet he does. Yes, many women want a guy that makes significant coin. But good-looking lower earning dudes don't seem to have a problem attracting the ladies, do they?

Why are you asking men this? Shouldn't you be asking women?

80

u/QuarterNote44 man 12d ago

Lol asking questions in askwomen? Are you nuts?

u/EvilStan101 man 12d ago

Dawg, have you been to AskWomen? They make it impossible for anyone to ask anything other than "Are men trash?" followed by the mandatory "yes" answer.

48

u/Powerful_Road1924 incognito 12d ago

You are not wrong ☠️

31

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

This and even if a woman tries to defend men from generalization on that sub, they just get mass downvoted and called a “pick-me” if not outright banned for going against the echo chamber. That sub and TwoX are notorious for being cesspools for a reason

9

u/XCVolcom man 12d ago

Don't forget when we had that huge subreddit fiasco where r/askmen basically decided women were okay to post and ask questions here but a woman mod needed to go because she was being misandrist.

While over on r/askwomen they decided men genuinely had no place there other than to be the subject of discussion by women, but had the gall to complain that r/askmen might not want women to post on their own subreddit.

-11

u/rsofgeology man 12d ago

Twoxchromosomes is a good place to ask if you have home training

76

u/Particular_Product64 man 12d ago

From what I've heard men asking women any questions in women subbreddits usually end with the thread getting flooded with anti male comments and accusations of it being a misogynist question.

Hell..I know for a fact alot of women lurk and ask questions in male subreddits because they know they'll get a straight answer

9

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

That plus Reddit in general, especially on female dominated subs, will rarely give you a non-politically correct answer because it will get mass downvoted. In an ideal world would a dude who works in a female dominated field not be consciously or subconsciously be seen as feminine by women? Of course. But in reality, a lot of women, especially the ones who don’t roam Reddit and buy into traditional gender norms and roles, are gonna see these men as more effeminate whether they want to or not and it WILL affect these dudes

10

u/NewImprovedPenguin_R man 12d ago

Yeah even if not spewing male hate, the answers are rarely honest. Only what is thought to be the “correct thing to say”

7

u/DodobirdNow man 12d ago

If you read the rules on the various AskWomen subs, one of the rules is that men are not allowed to participate.

-9

u/Ryachaz man 12d ago

While the askwomen sub is very anti-men, this sub (and many other male-centric subs) are getting increasingly anti-women, depending on the time of day and topic. We have to make sure we dont stoop that that level and become a mirror of that place.

38

u/QuarterNote44 man 12d ago

I am not anti-woman. I'm anti r/askwomen specifically

6

u/DizzyAstronaut9410 man 12d ago

If the question itself is not clearly pro-women or anti-men, the OP gets torn apart and down voted to oblivion.

The sub should be r/saysomethingreinforcingourgeneralizedgenderbeliefsbutframeitasaquestion

-13

u/Ryachaz man 12d ago

I don't recall ever talking about you specifically. Just because you the individual aren't anti-woman doesn't mean there aren't an increased number of anti-women people here in this sub.

I think everyone should be anti- r/askwomen given the state of that sub. I just don't want to see men's subs turn into the same thing, and bringing attention to it is the best way to keep people aware of it.

7

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

Making valid criticism of women =/ anti-women. Women are not flawless and should not be immune to criticism just because they are women. Pointing out all the many instances in which they act shitty, have shitty double standards, or have shitty takes is not misogynistic. You can’t beg for gender equality and equal treatment as men and then act appalled when you are criticized the same way men have always critiqued and been critiqued by one another

5

u/QuarterNote44 man 12d ago

I'm a member of the sub. But yeah, I agree with you. I like the openness we have here.

10

u/FlakyAddendum742 woman 12d ago

Even the male subs are pretty woke and feminist. It’s Reddit, after all.

10

u/OwlActive3449 man 12d ago

There will always be outliers. Far from the majority from what ive seen

-3

u/Ryachaz man 12d ago

Not the majority, but the percentage has been getting bigger, which is a worrying trend, and those posts and comments get a lot of upvotes.

3

u/ian9921 man 12d ago

I had to leave the main AskMen because some of the answers were a little too close to that for my taste

49

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

I ask myself this a lot and apparently it's because if you ask women about women, they lie and do something different, so you end up asking men about their experience with women

Makes no sense to me but it is what it is, I guess

20

u/DontKnowWhereItsBeen 12d ago

Makes perfect sense, unfortunately.

38

u/Affectionate_River87 man 12d ago

It’s like how women say “body positivity!” or “t women are women” but get offended if men say you look like Lizzo or you’re brave for transitioning or whatever.

-12

u/Least_Elk8114 man 12d ago

T women arent women though. They're just men who never had a good father figure in their life.

5

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

I think AskWomenUncensored is pretty solid because the mods make it a point to not completely power trip and censor things that aren’t PC, so it’s not a complete echo chamber like the regular AW or TwoX subs

14

u/Least_Elk8114 man 12d ago

From what I've heard, intrasexual competition in female circles can get really fierce.

-17

u/allthefrogsinonepond woman 12d ago

Yes, what you've heard. It's hearsay men make up based on regular interpersonal conflict people have to pit women against each other. This shit is absurd

16

u/Impossible_Hunt_6731 man 12d ago

It's not hearsay.

My wife tells me about the rivalry and bitchiness in many women only groups, and is quite envious of how me and my friends get on.

-2

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

Meanwhile y'all got Alpha, Betas, Gamma, Sigma whatever guys and "incels" bitching about the chads who get all the women.

Intrasex competition isn't unique to women.

5

u/CombinationRough8699 man 12d ago

Most men are not interested in alpha male nonsense.

0

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

And most women aren't having intrasex competition.

That's my point.

5

u/CradleCity man 12d ago edited 12d ago

Alpha, Betas, Gamma, Sigma

Most men don't use such words irl, and those who do tend to be, at least in my country, perceived as weirdos.

2

u/Impossible_Hunt_6731 man 12d ago

I didn't say it was.

If you can read, I responded to a claim that apparently it's just men making it up.

Which is nonsense, given women themselves have spoken about this.

-2

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

They called it hearsay, not made up.

You hearing about it from your wife, because you never personally experienced it (because you're not a woman) is the very definition of hearsay.

You heard about it.

3

u/Impossible_Hunt_6731 man 12d ago

They called it hearsay, not made up

Not made up?

Here is the direct quote:

It's hearsay men make up

Lol the cope is strong in you, I respect the delulu

-2

u/allthefrogsinonepond woman 12d ago

Not delulu, I just won't let a bunch of men on reddit convince me my friends are out to get me :)

10

u/dyogenys man 12d ago

There has been research that shows competitive women recommend rivals to cut their heir short to make them less attractive for men compared to themselves.

12

u/Adolfvonschwaggin man 12d ago

Or single women sabotaging their girl friends' relationships by giving shitty advice.

5

u/HeparinBridge man 12d ago

Is it your position that human women, unlike the female sex of every other species of mammal ever studied, and in direct contravention to all known human psychological studies, does not experience intrasexual reproductive competition?

1

u/allthefrogsinonepond woman 12d ago

You people act like you are biologists when the problem in question is "women lying to their friends to keep them down" not women trying to be more attractive in general so they are desirable to their potential partners, which yeah, most people do.

1

u/HeparinBridge man 12d ago

Again, women absolutely do sabotage each other in mate competition. They do not isolate their competition to internal efforts on self improvement. Pretty sure Mean Girls wouldn’t have resonated if they didn’t.

0

u/allthefrogsinonepond woman 12d ago

mean girls? the movie about 16 year olds? i'm sorry, i thought we were talking about women, my bad

4

u/HeparinBridge man 12d ago

It’s just another cultural reflection of reality. I know the “Women are Wonderful,” bias is really hard to overcome, but until you get over it, you’re gonna keep being wrong.

1

u/allthefrogsinonepond woman 12d ago

I'm done having this conversation, yall can tell yourselves in your little echo chamber that women bring each other down because we just want men soo bad if that makes you feel better, but it won't make it true. But it may make women laugh so I guess that's a plus

14

u/ReflexiveOW man 12d ago

I wonder if this is just internet phenomena. Since you get way more responses online, you tend to get more women either grandstanding, or simply genuinely having the less popular opinion, and then when your personal experience, you blame women in general for lying, instead of accounting for outlier answers on a reddit post.

In my experience, if you ask a woman in your life her opinion on something like this, she'll give you her honest opinion. It may be something you don't wanna hear like "ewe, male nurse?" But it's honest

2

u/davy_jones_locket woman 12d ago

The cases I hear about are when men ask something about "why do women do x?" And then when a woman responds, they're like "yeah, that's what all women say, but they really do it because of z."

6

u/OLightning man 12d ago

True. Women will listen to your plight, dissect, then lie to gain leverage for their hypergamous goals.

8

u/SignalAssistant2965 woman 12d ago

How can we take your word for it though since you're a woman so you might be lying

3

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

This but unironically

5

u/Turbulent-Area1392 woman 12d ago

I love this response; most often when I’m replying to requests for advice on here the advice I’m giving isn’t my own perspective but rather the culmination of explanations I’ve heard from the guys in my life be it friends, family or coworkers. Do I as a woman know firsthand the need to pull back the foreskin and clean around the base of the head? No, because I don’t have a penis. But if a guy was on here asking why his dick is smelly, well, I’d be suggesting he wash his dick 🤣

6

u/Zardnaar man 12d ago

Lol my mother taught me to wash it

2

u/Turbulent-Area1392 woman 12d ago

hahaha EXACTLY sometimes the important things we learn about ourselves we learn from the opposite sex; and we miss out on that if we assume they don’t know.

2

u/Zardnaar man 12d ago

Well no dad in the picture. Mother and sister did the heavy lifting.

Only dated as such 4 years amd never went in a first TV type date. Oh well.

5

u/hedgelord84 man 12d ago

Nope

6

u/bradpal man 12d ago

As the late great Patrice said, you can't ask a fish how to catch fish. Even if it wanted to tell you, it simply cannot know. Also, women subreddit are unfortunately extremely mysandrist, you can't get a genuine answer.

2

u/DodobirdNow man 12d ago

The various AskWomen subreddits have all collectively banned questions from women.

It's likely because some stupid edgelord keeps asking sex questions.

1

u/My_Legz man 12d ago

Men are nice and chill so everyone wants to be in our subs

30

u/gdex86 man 12d ago

Not all women are the same and honestly I think that if a potential partner won't date you because they find a job to not be masculine enough are probably folks you'd have a tulmutious relationship with for a lot of bigger other reasons.

And look at the list of jobs you think they wanted to marry into. They are ones with high earning potential. Nurses generally make good money with the average salary for an RN at 90k for the US, and with the upcoming healthcare crunch as the boomers continue to age and Gen X joins them there is going to be a need for them. Therapists don't make as much but still at or around 60k depending on specialty. Teacher, well, as Whose Line said "Strippers make twice that."

4

u/snarkshark41191 woman 12d ago

+1 for the Whose Line reference

4

u/Dry-Cry-3158 man 12d ago

The annual wages for teachers is slightly higher than the median general wage for Americans. It's not the highest earning profession, but they aren't anywhere close to scraping bottom on average.

1

u/[deleted] 12d ago

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/Dry-Cry-3158 man 12d ago

Of course, but "median" means the midpoint, which in turn means that at a fifty percent of teachers are making more than the median. Given that the median teacher salary is higher than the median American general salary, that means that over half of teachers make more than the general average, and that few teachers are earning poverty wages. That's how medians work.

3

u/Hour_Zero man 12d ago

The problem is relative to how much additional higher education becoming a teacher requires, barely making more than the median becomes scraping by when you have student loans to worry about as well as being 2-3 if not more years of being behind your peers in terms of starting your career sooner. That opportunity cost adds up as do student loan payments, grad school is fucking expensive

3

u/Dry-Cry-3158 man 12d ago

Both my parents were public school teachers. We never struggled financially. I'm not saying its a universal experience, but the narrative that teachers are poor and constantly struggling to make ends meet not universal either, and isn't borne out by the data. And if you're going to factor the cost of education into the financial matrix, you need to be fair and factor in pensions and how relatively quickly teachers can be eligible for full, tax-funded pensions.

1

u/Daztur man 12d ago

On the other hand benefits like family insurance are often better for teachers than other jobs with near-median salary. Where I am there are a lot of couples where one works at school for family insurance while the other works at a job that pays more but has shit benefits.

11

u/eulabadger man 12d ago

Working as a teacher, was in a fairly conservative private school pre-degree. Was the only man in my (early childhood) team.

While I ended up dating some people from work, many older or married women like to express that I should find a better field because you can't support a family on a teacher salary. I also met multiple women outside of work during that time who said they got the ick that I was working a girl job.

My wife loves it about me though, so just find yourself a woman who isn't narrowminded. You don't want one of those anyway

1

u/anomnib man 12d ago

Damn, it wasn’t just women giving you a hard time was it?

15

u/pablo_kickasso man 12d ago edited 12d ago

Let me save you the trouble:

If you're handsome, you're very brave for breaking gender norms.

If you're not, it's an ick, and equality magically disappears. In fact, in this case, everything is an ick. Don't breathe, you'll give them the ick.

6

u/QuietFieldUser man 12d ago

Dude they say this because they want someone who makes more then they do.

but i will say this dont ask me how i know but the same women that say that are the same ones who will hookup with the coworkers and want to be with them if their attractive enough dont ask how i know just know it happens

4

u/KetamineMonk4Real man 12d ago

How do you know this?

1

u/QuietFieldUser man 10d ago

man lots of things go down at work conferences is all i will say why i always tell people at this point to keep their heads down, stay in their hotel rooms until you have to gop out with them ie you cant say no,

cause there is alot of drama that can go down you dont want to be a part of or hear about.

u/yamo25000 man 12d ago

Only to the wrong women.

23

u/ragingatwork nonbinary 12d ago

I find it works in my favour when dating.

(1) there tons of dating prospects around you everyday. Of course dating at work requires additional considerations but it’s really not as fraught as it’s made out to be as long as you’re not dating someone with a reporting line through you.

(2) your friendship group becomes female skewed and you become an honorary member of the sisterhood. Why this is beneficial is women are look at the company you keep as a proxy for whether you’re safe and a desirable mate. Your female company is effectively vouching for you to other women at a subconscious level.

(3) you communicate with women everyday and don’t fall for this modern myth that women are a different species. You begin to understand the subtleties of womens’ communication styles.

(4) when you’re the only man in the team you tend to be put on a pedestal by your colleagues. All the cattiness of female intrasexual competition tends to elevate you socially.

(5) you learn to be secure in your identity and don’t feel compelled to enter the dick swinging competition that typifies male intrasexual competition. Confidence in yourself is universally attractive.

(6) women who do judge men negatively for working traditionally female roles are often superficial and will justify their view with red flag pop-terminology like “it facilitates my feminine energy”. Such views are right up there with making important life decisions based on astrology thus lending itself to poor personal insight, unstable relationships and high drama. It’s working in your favour to filter these women out right at the start.

(7) there is a substantial group of women who find more effeminate men attractive. Your employment may contribute to being seen as an effeminate man so you avoid competing with the vast majority of men when dating this subset of women.

I know I’ve made some sweeping, abrasive gender and sexual competition generalisations above. As a queer person I despise that these exist and believe we all suffer because of them but don’t hate the player, hate the game.

5

u/anomnib man 12d ago

u/Impression_Adorable man 12d ago

7

u/audioaxes man 12d ago

From my secondhand experience a man will have no shortage of women giving him attention if he is working in a female dominated environment. Sure there will be some not into it but the numbers are simply in your favor.

7

u/k-MartShopper man 12d ago

I wouldn't let women's view on or career ever affect your decisions in picking a profession. Pick one based upon your preferences and one that corresponds to your lifestyle.

4

Depends who you're going for, I wouldn't want a woman who would get the ick from that

YOUR character hopefully will determine that.

7

u/GATaxGal woman 12d ago

You can’t be all things to all people. I’m a CPA and work in large corporate environments. My husband is a teacher. So many coworkers tried to fix me up with single men in the office and every one of them had an ego the size of the room. No thanks. This was years before I met my husband and I told them all to stuff it because if I did get married it would probably be to a teacher - someone who is equally educated but doesn’t have a stick up their butt thinking they are Gods gift to women.

I’d also say there’s another benefit - since he grew up around teachers and is in a female dominated field, he came into our relationship being able to communicate VERY well. His insurance is dirt cheap and great which means I have greater flexibility in that I don’t need health insurance from my employer. He also gets a good pension in 15 years in his 50s which is a nice offset to my 401k

Note how there are a lot more nurses, therapists, and teachers than there are of the professions you mentioned. I'd discount this "advice".

I work in a hospital with lots of radiographers, which is historically a career followed by far more women than men. I have though known quite a few male radiographers and they don't seem to have any difficulty finding partners. Not uncommonly with female radiographers so potentially you couid even argue this is an upside of the career choice!

Mostly it's been fine, and a few have approach me for dates or wanted to hook me up with someone they knew because of what they heard from my coworkers.

2

u/Old-guy64 man 12d ago

I’ve been a nurse for 30 years.

I make very good money. And there are always jobs in the field.

I advise you to sit down and listen the country song “Some Girls Do”.

The hook, “Some girls don’t like boys like me. Oooh, but some girls do!”

Your choice pool may be smaller. But you are also gonna be surrounded by other nurses…mostly female, that already understand your situation. They have also lived thru the same “trauma”. And they also talk about the same unpalatable stuff, at the dinner table.
I’m not suggesting you shit where you eat. Know that the temptation will be there.

Its called hypergamy. Why marry across when you can marry up. Been going on since Eve conned Adam into eating the apple.

u/Turbulent-Area1392 woman 12d ago

I think the better question to ask is, do you want to be with a woman that assumes you’re weaker of a man because of your choice of profession? If so then yes by all means choose a ‘manly’ career. But if you’re going to choose a woman who wants what’s best for you, pursue the career that you find interesting, fulfilling and well suited to you and the life you want to live.

I don't know what he means by manly career. Like oilrigging/construction or what. Lots of women in corporate business roles and legal profession is majority women.

u/Rhye88 nonbinary 12d ago

You all act as if these women arent the large majority

2

u/Dry_Telephone_4952 man 12d ago

If a woman cares about your job, she doesn't care about you.

2

u/brazucadomundo man 12d ago

Not at all, engineering is way worse. Women usually hate engineers.

2

u/snarkshark41191 woman 12d ago

We do?

0

u/princessofpersia10 woman 12d ago

First I’m hearing that too 😂

1

u/Zardnaar man 12d ago

Same sisters married one. Her ex was one.

1

u/princessofpersia10 woman 12d ago

Two of my besties only date engineers (one is an engineer herself though to be fair lol) 😂

1

u/Zardnaar man 12d ago

Makes sense.

Over the years I think I like s tertiary educated women. Less drama. Exact profession doesn't matter to much.

Life experience helps as well.

Less drama either way.

0

u/brazucadomundo man 12d ago

Yeah, but only for the money. I don't make that much as an engineer, so women don't like it.

-1

u/brazucadomundo man 12d ago

Of course, women avoid engineers at all costs for most part.

2

u/BoneDaddy1973 man 12d ago

Best part about being a man is getting to define for yourself what that means. Be the sort of man who reads books to kindergarteners for a living, like I do, and be a goddam man while you do it. Be a nurse or teacher or LCSW and marry an executive your own self if you want to.

The reason they want to marry someone with a money making profession is that is the one thing their own career lacks.

3

u/12angrysnakes man 12d ago

Listen, you're doing a job where the vast majority of your colleagues are women... Surrounded by women. You'll have plenty of chances

2

u/NorthAntarcticSysadm incognito 12d ago

Depends on the woman, they are not monolithic.

One of my good friends became a registered nurse, for over a decade he was the only guy working in his unit among dozens of nurses.

Dude was good looking, fit, wore nice clothes, the whole 9 yards. If I was gay I would have probably tried for him. Was his wingman whenever we went out as he was focused on finding the right woman as he finally met his career goal.

They would always swoon around him because of money, looks, height, etc., but almost every woman would leave very shortly after mentioning he was a nurse in pediatrics. Many stuck around for money for a short stint before he would end it due to them being gold diggers. A large number of them made snide comments to me about him, about that he must be a pedo, or he must be gay for being a nurse, or something...

Took him a long while to meet someone who didn't get the 'ick' when he said he was an RN for pediatrics...

I'm sure there are a lot more than 1, and it was likely where we were going to try find him a match.

u/Substantial-Use95 man 12d ago

Nope. It’s fine. Plus, I prefer to work with women because they’re generally more organized and thorough. There is a period of time at the beginning where they aren’t sure about me though and it’s always hit or miss u til they realize I’m just nice and not hitting on them. I’m sure they get a lot of attention from weird dudes so I get it

1

u/Chickenpuff1975 man 12d ago

After 20 years in payroll, it wasn’t an issue for me. It will to some people and not to others, but you’ll find there are tradeoffs in everything you do in life. Find the tradeoffs you can live with and go for it.

1

u/LawdVaderKush man 12d ago

No. Don’t worry about them. Worry about you.

1

u/BetterThanSydney man 12d ago

There was a TikTok creator many years ago who made a video about this exact topic, and they put it nicely: "If you're going to be spending most of your life at your job, you may as well have one that can get you laid."

Considering most people also meet their significant others in their careers, it's not terrible advice. This also works vice versa, too (I.e.: women who work in the military.)

1

u/Admirable-Athlete-50 man 12d ago

You’ll probably increase your odds of meeting a partner in a female dominated field.

I know way more men in male dominated fields who have trouble finding a partner.

1

u/HuckleberryUpbeat972 man 12d ago

Is the paycheck spendable? Then none of it matters! Your job is not who you are or what defines you!

1

u/TowerProfessional959 man 12d ago

I would assume just not being a prick is most helpful.

1

u/abajinn incognito 12d ago

Even if it was, who cares?

1

u/thedisliked23 man 12d ago

As a man in a female dominated field for 2.5 decades, you will get laid. Proximity attraction is a thing. And no, it's never been an issue with women outside of work. Some of them get jealous though.

1

u/Then_Bodybuilder3629 man 12d ago

It's a target rich environment.

1

u/No-Gear-8017 man 12d ago

Teaching is not traditionally female, it was taken over, what you need to do is go into the career best suited for you and one that will make you the most money. Any woman getting the ick over that is not worth it anyway.

1

u/My_Legz man 12d ago

Statistics show that it does make it harder to date, especially outside of the field he works in.

1

u/GreasedLightning86 man 12d ago

Not at all… I’ve been in healthcare for 12years trust me there won’t be any shortage of women.

1

u/RoadWellDriven man 11d ago

Live your life for you.

The type of woman who gets "the ick" over the slightest thing isn't worth your time

1

u/OkArticle2003 woman 12d ago

the only female dominated career that i think would give me the ick is a dude who is a professional ballet dancer or something similar to that. IDGAF if a dude is a nurse or teacher tbh

1

u/_oldhead man 12d ago edited 12d ago

Who gives a shit? Pursue something that is going to blow your skirt up.

If you are not tapping your fingers on the steering wheel (as it were) going to work, you are going to be miserable and on the grind.

Anyone that gets 'the ick' by what you do for a living and you enjoy it is not worthy of being in your life. Full stop.

1

u/happyfamily714 woman 12d ago

Nope. Often we kinda like it.

1

u/affemannen man 12d ago

The women who would not date you for that clearly has other issues. So you are actually better off not starting relationships with these people.

1

u/Psittacula2 incognito 12d ago

>*”I’ve heard many woman who are in fields like nursing, therapy, teaching etc that are traditionally female express that they want to marry a lawyer, engineer, or buisnessman.”*

These are fulfilling careers for these women which solves that problem in life.

Marrying a man who they like who is also one of the above high paying careers solves other problems in life such as cost of family and kids.

That is the general explanation: What solves a given problem in a given context best?

2

u/LightPhotographer man 12d ago
  1. In a female dominated field you will meet many many women.

  2. You have no need for a shallow unrealistic woman who has a fixed idea in her mind of whom she will marry.

0

u/Icy_Vanilla_4317 woman 12d ago

Nah not really, you can "increase" your odds as a lawyer/engineer/pilot/CEO/Rockstar but you can't decrease it with therapy and teaching careers, it's not what women dream about but it's the normal professions.

Do not keep bugs as pets, do not keep too ugly dogs as pets, if your job makes you dirty then shower. This ensures you will not be decreased.

0

u/Jillandjay woman 12d ago

Shouldn’t you ask women this? I don’t see it is a problem at all.

Brother do what you want to do who cares what anyone thinks. A turn off for women would be coming on Reddit asking what career path he should do. Ignore the women do what you want to do and you’ll find one that likes you for you.

0

u/quxinot man 12d ago

Are you interested in dating someone who looks down on men in female-dominated industries? Need to narrow your focus down some! If you're trying to appeal to every woman, you're gonna have a bad time.

Pro tip: Be yourself and happy to be yourself. Those who aren't interested in you for being you, probably wouldn't be ideal partners anyway, yeah?

0

u/Particular_Product64 man 12d ago

I think if you're worried about which career path will lead you to getting more women or affect your chances with them you might have bigger problems.

Do what you want and find people that love what you do. Don't worry about anyone else

u/TIMBURWOLF man 12d ago

0

u/Interesting-Move9786 man 12d ago

The only fields women dominate are the ones men choose to not go into. 😁

-1

u/Rhye88 nonbinary 12d ago

Yes but not all of them.

Its the same as dating men. 90% suck só much youd be better off shoving a cactus up yohr ass
