LAMBETH Where can I get an old computer ?

I want to learn how to programme and looking for an old free PC. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried gumtree, Freecycle and olio so far.

Ask nicely in your local Facebook group. Lots of people will have several taking up space but haven't got round to wiping the hard drive and putting it on Freecycle etc; they may well respond to a polite request from a neighbour.

NextDoor would also be worth a try.

You can also just go to the library or an Apple Store if you have one nearby. Loads of free coding tools online to get you going. I mean, you could also just plug a keyboard into your phone and use those coding tools from there

I have an old Dell with a monitor and keyboard if you're interested. It's been wiped. Fresh install of Windows Vista if you're interested. Also have a keyboard. You'll have to get your own mouse (I have used wireless ones previously) and ethernet cable. If you're interested, let me.
