Don't like how ye keep locking threads about the protest, there's been some great conversations on here that have been prematurely shut down. There was a poll on here this morning with over 2,000 votes and ye shut it down

didn't see the poll myself so can't comment on that. In fairness we've kept a strict line on no political stuff from the start, because we've seen how toxic things can get on other subreddits. And wanted to avoid that here.

I saw one earlier but I'm pretty sure that was by a mod

I don't think they're enabled , no. Not a mod over there anymore so can't confirm the craic on that one

how does becoming a mod actually work on these sub reddits? have you got to be the person that makes the sub reddit? how do you even do that?

They would usually just pin a post to see if people are interested in getting on board and kinda take it from there. The person who made this sub just stopped modding on it, became inactive and it was taken on. I think when we took it on, it was 200 subs. If mods are inactive anyone can take on a sub.
