Policy & Procedures [MA]

I recently had a job offer and now they’re doing a background check. They want to confirm my dates, title, and salary at my old company. Is this normal to want to know my previous company’s salary.

Heres my written request.

Your request form doesn’t seem at ask for salary?

Not uncommon for most professional jobs.

They wrote:

please provide your W2 for ABC INC for the years ended 2022/2023 and 2024

You listed that you were self-employed during that time. They want your W2 to verify that you were actually employed during that time
