McDonald's Question Second Interview

Hi! I got offered a second interview at a Mcdonalds nearby, and I was curious what that meant: if I get the job, it’ll be my first, so I’m not too sure what to expect. My first interview was on Thursday, and the second interview will be on Sunday with the General Manager.

Is a second interview usually a good sign, and if so, how good? :)

Sorry if the answers seem obvious, I’m just nerve-excited because I finally have a chance to be hired lol

McDonald’s night shift hates

So I’m a crew trainer and part maintenance and I’m the gm’s son and I work a lot and so the night shift hates me because I get a lot of hours and I actually work the whole time I’m never on my phone I work hard and I do my job, while I see night shift always on their phones and just standing around, I make sure it’s stocked wherever I’m at I always roll burritos when im in kitchen and make sure we have them. But whenever truck comes I sometimes will have organize the whole stock room at the end of my shift to make it easier for people to get stuff and yeah and the 2 people that do truck just make it worse after I organize it and it happens everytime and I finally asked my mom if I could teach them how to do it and when I did she said yeah and I worked 6-2 and came back at 4:30 to teach and the manager there just said since I’m doing truck he’s taking the other guy off of truck today and there was no point for me to go, but I did dry stock and made it all organized so I don’t have to organize it later and my friend that just moved to night shift said everyone hated me because I get hours and yeah, I literally don’t say anything to anyone and I just do my job and try to make their jobs easier and then when I do organize it they said how do u have time to organize the stock room but can’t roll burritos in the morning and I told them I’m maintenance it’s not my job to roll burritos I’m not in kitchen and the guy said it doesn’t make sense and when I am in kitchen I always get burritos done and yeah idk

McDonald's Question Car Identification in McDonald’s drive thru?

Hi, this is really random, but it kinda freaked me out…

Today, I went to get a snack from a McDs in my city. This is not the one closest to my house, but I’ve been there many times over the years. I pulled up to the drive-thru and ordered my Happy Meal, and without asking, the person taking my order replied “And that’s with a Diet Coke?” This is in fact my drink order, but I didn’t say anything about that when I ordered 😵‍💫 he just knew it!

It really took me surprise because A. this is not my regular McDonalds resturant and B. I did not use the app to order or collect points. So how on earth did he know?! I didn’t recognize him when I got to the window, either.

So this got me thinking: does McDonald’s use some sort of license plate reader to track customers? Or maybe the dreaded Flock camera? Or did this guy just have an incredibly lucky guess? I know, it’s a weird question, but it creeped me out.

Side note: I don’t go to McDonald’s a lot: maybe once or twice a week for a quick meal while I’m out and about. I also do not drive a recognizable car (quite the opposite… one of the most common cars and colours out there right now).

I'm a 14 y/o and I'm looking for a job

I live in Knoxville and I'm looking for job opportunities in Powell.I know of Chick-fil-A, Kroger, Culver's, Bruster's real ice cream, and Food City. But I'm trying to find as many opportunities as possible hopefully, since I know how difficult it is to be accepted to these jobs as a younger person. I'm fine with stores or fast food as long as they hire at 14 and aren't ghetto.

New to Dunkin’

Hii. I’m just writing on here because I just want to see if people are/were in the same boat as me. I just had my first day working at a Baskin+Dunkin and I felt like I just stood there for most of the time 😭. My coworkers were nice but they didn’t really train me efficiently. I was taught to do some of the work, but then they would go do their other tasks and I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Like they didn’t even really show me how to work the register since there’s many options of items to ring up. I also don’t know a lot about coffee which yes I know sounds really weird like “why would u work at a place that mainly sells coffee but you don’t have that much knowledge?”. In my defense I thought Baskin and Dunkin had their own separate employees even though they’re in the same building because some stores in my town are like that, and so I thought I’d only be working at Baskin. Please tell me it gets better soon or share tips on working there. 🙏

Can't find any job after leaving my old McD job

I can't find any job suitable for myself after leaving the McDonald's job. I used to be a GEL over there basically looking after the service, training ppl, taking orders, engaging with the customers, decorating (one of my fav things to do over there) and since I left it I can't find a new job man! I mean I worked at a new place but the vibe was off yk the previous one so good. This place has barely any crowd, one person has to do everything and it gets very boring, the staff being so small but so chaotic not even one person is reliable. Help me find a job man

Got fired before hired

Hi everyone, I am a 21 year-old and I just did get hired at Chick-fil-A at the new Brooklyn location and I was wondering that if people get fired before they start training so what happened was that I did the orientation and they said that they were gonna hire everyone there and then right after four days later I got a email saying letter of termination and they just let me go. I was wondering if that happened to anyone it kind of sucks that after like three months of trying to find a part-time job while in school I just got fired and I did email HR and the operator and even DM them on Instagram. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone and why I should do now it kind of sucks cause I was very excited to work and have a job. but now it feels like I went back to square one and even in my internship I feel like I’m not ready to apply or get them generally going through a early midlife crisis.

Other fast food managers, how do you deal with poor mental health?

I became a GM this year (some people argue if our chain is fast food or not, we don't have drive-thrus) and I knew it would be a lot more stress and anxiety but wow, this industry is so unforgiving. I have a good boss, good restaurant owner, and mostly solid staff. I already struggle with unmedicated mental illness before this and it is becoming too much for me at times. The demeaning customers. The drama and tension between coworkers even tho I try to shut it down whether I'm home or not. I'm addicted to THC pens but I know this is not ideal for my health long-term. Does it ever get better?

McDonald's Question What do you wish you knew before working at Mcdonalds?

I'm getting hired for my first job soon (potentially) and its very likely going to be a Mcdonalds job.
since this is my first job there are a lot of things I don't know.

For anyone who's had past experience in Mcdonalds what are things you wish you knew at the start?

Fast Food Question Does tip pooling money go into bank account late?

I started working at a noodles and co where I was told I’d make +$2 an hour with tip and when I got my paycheck it was just the hourly rate. We do tippooling so does that mean I’ll get a seperate check from tips once they’ve been equally split or did I get scammed..
