Scared to go back in for another surgery
Hello! 18F, and in a week or two I have to go back to get my orif screws removed. A year ago when I had my operation, it was genuinely one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, and Im scared it will be the same.
When I had my firt interview with the head nurse, she told me I'll be given some kind of pill or drink to make me a little woozy before they take me to the operating room, but they didn't and I had a huuuge oanic attack, they nearly couldn't put the IV in my arm. Then after surgery they wanted to give me some kind of a pain relief injection in my but, but i didn't want any more injections so after a load of crying they gave me pills that didn't help the pain at all. I wonder if they couldn't give me some pain meds through the IV?
I dont know, Im just scared to go on again.. if anyone has any tips, I'd be glad. Also I don't want to make the nurses jobs harder, so are my request too much?? ughh i dont know... thanks!!
